Remix radio has been broadcasting music reviews.

We want stories by and about ordinary people.

Not pop/hip-hop music reviews. We can get that anywhere.

Though my situation is less serious than Rosenthal's, I can relate. I am not insured through my job and I was rejected by all the major health insurers in my state because of a condition caused by a disease that half of the US population is thought to have. I don't have cancer, I have an abnormal pap, low grade mutations of cervical cells caused by HPV. Yes, in 15-20 years, this can develop into cancer, but it usually goes away. Straight men only extremely rarely get anything worse than warts from HPV. I wonder if there was some equivalent of an abnormal pap for men, if the insurers would treat the condition differently.

Because of an odd set of circumstances, I was able to lie and get approved for a government health insurance program with a reasonable premium.

I appreciate Rosenthal sharing her story. I really hope the Supreme Court doesn't strike down the Affordable Care Act. If the act remains in tact, insurers will be forced to stop denying people for pre-existing conditions in 2014.

Thank you for another great post. Where else could anyone get that kind of information in such a perfect way of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I'm on the look for such information.

Roman & PRX crew: I listen to PRX more hours of my waking day than not. Even if I'm not "listening", it's still there. Thanks for making the greatest thing on radio since Roosevelt's Fireside Chats. Which I understand were pretty good in the day.

I recommend 90.3 to everyone at work (I'm a DJ of the "Nightfall" show on KEWU 89.5 in Spokane, WA). I hope to one day have my own gig on PRX, where I can explore my field recording passions and bring the public an amazing experience every time.

Thank you for existing! In the most honest way the stories and articles broadcasted on the remix radio format have the unique ability to fit into our fast paced world and slow us all down just long enough to inspire and imagine the possibilities all around us. It really is special to know that Spokane was chosen as a test market for this format! I hope remix radio will have a long life on air here in Spokane and other markets in the future. Keep on Truckin Remix Radio :)
